Welcome to the elearn-alive wiki. This space is dedicated to learning associated with online learning environments, social software and personal learning environments. You could say it is my personal learning environment about flexible learning environments. This site has come about as a result of the subject 'Flexible Learning Environments' that I am studying online as a part of my Masters of Education at The University of Melbourne. While not my first wiki, it is the first I have undertaken as a learning tool for myself, rather than for the learning of my students. During Term Four of 2007 I ran a wiki research project in a 7 / 8 Intermediate school classroom in Wellington, New Zealand. I will add sections to this site to complement my learning in the above subject, as I will also add to my blog: http://elearn-alive.blogspot.com. It is my plan to discuss issues raised in Flexible Learning Environments, and in the readings for the subject, as well as through research I do online.

I hope to also discuss the learning that I have gained while running a class wiki, and would love to invite interested parties to view the website. Please be aware that I will only invite those participating in the subject 'Flexible Learning Environments' as the class wiki was a completely private site that I have paid a subscription fee for. Also I ask that all interested viewers do not make changes to the site, but rather add comments in order to maintain the completely student centered focus of the wiki.

Bill Oldham is adding material very tentatively on Sunday, March 30, 2008. Have had a few students confidently revise their VCE material using mind maps as a visual aid.
